Urgent: Bus Carrying 50 Students Rolls Over in Missouri

BREAKING: A tour bus carrying approximately 50 high school students from Bolivar, Fair Play, and Dadeville schools rolled over on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, in Laclede County, Missouri, as they were en route to the National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Convention in Indianapolis. The incident occurred around 11:00 AM local time on Highway A near Phillipsburg, roughly 40 miles outside of Springfield, during heavy rainfall.

According to Corporal Ralicia Tyler of the Missouri Highway Patrol, the bus slid off a curvy road and ended up on its side. Ten students suffered minor injuries and were transported to local medical facilities for evaluation and treatment.

The remaining students were swiftly taken to Conway High School for shelter and reunification with their families. Both the Bolivar Schools and Fair Play School District confirmed that students would be returned home from Conway.
