‘The Pearl Comb’ Premieres on Disney+ with New Executive Producers

The Oscar-shortlisted short film The Pearl Comb has officially debuted on Disney+ in Europe. This release coincides with the announcement that double Academy Award nominee Miranda Richardson and Oscar-nominated producer David Lancaster have joined the project as executive producers. The film, a gothic fantasy directed by Ali Cook, has garnered attention for its compelling narrative and impressive festival run.

Set in 1893 England, The Pearl Comb tells the story of a fisherman’s wife who becomes the first person to successfully cure tuberculosis. The plot thickens as a skeptical doctor, determined to disprove her achievements, embarks on an investigation that reveals the mysterious origins of her healing powers.
