Glenville Mourns the Loss of Beloved Community Member Jerry E. Jones, Jr.
Jerry E. Jones, Jr., a cherished resident of Glenville, New York, passed away on February 1, 2026, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 59 years old and is remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Born in Troy, New York, Jerry dedicated the last decade of his professional life to the SI Group in Rotterdam Junction. His family was at the center of his world, and he took great pride in being a loving and supportive figure to his wife, Debra L. Jones, and their children.
A Legacy of Love and Family
Jerry’s passing leaves a profound void in the lives of his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Archambeault, and his siblings: Catherine Jones (Kevin), Bob Jones (Roe), Shirley Pasquariello (Stephen), Alice Perrott, Barbara Palazeke (best friend Doug), Bryan Jones (Karla), Douglas LaPorte, Roseann Deeb (Al), Jessica Bazyk (Timothy), and Ricky Jones (Megan). He was predeceased by his father, Jerry E. Jones, Sr., and his sister, Shirley A. Jones.
Jerry’s legacy continues through his four children: Gerrod M. Jones (Melissa), Crystal L. Secor, Sabrina M. Adams (Roth), and Mercedes L. Jones (John), along with his step-daughter, Kayla R. Lipson (John). He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, who brought him immense joy throughout his life.
Community Remembrance and Farewell
The community can pay their respects during visiting hours scheduled for February 5, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals, located at 181 Troy-Schenectady Road, Watervliet.
