The LHSAA State Volleyball Tournament is set to commence at the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana, featuring a series of thrilling matchups this Thursday. The tournament showcases high school teams across various divisions, with competition heating up as teams vie for a chance at the championship titles.

Quarterfinal Matchups for Division I

In the Division I quarterfinals, the schedule includes several anticipated clashes. The top-seeded Dominican will face off against Fontainebleau at 19:00. Simultaneously, St. Joseph’s competes against Northshore, also at 19:00. Earlier in the day, Slidell challenges Southside at 14:00, while Mount Carmel takes on Chapelle in another exciting match at 19:00. The finals for this division will take place on Saturday at 19:00.

Divisional Highlights and Semifinal Matches

The Division II quarterfinals will see St. Thomas More face Kenner Discovery at 17:20, while South Lafourche goes head-to-head with Natchitoches Central at 15:40. Meanwhile, Academy of Our Lady meets Teurlings Catholic at 17:20, and St. Scholastica competes against Sam Houston at 14:00. The finals for this division are set for 16:30 on Saturday.

In Division III, the top seed, St. Michael, will play against Lutcher at 17:20. Other matches include Haynes versus University at 12:20, and Parkview Baptist taking on E.D. White at the same time. The final match in this division is scheduled for 14:00 on Saturday.

The Division IV quarterfinals feature Dunham against Notre Dame at 10:40, while John Curtis has already advanced after defeating Sacred Heart-NO 3-0. Northlake Christian will face Catholic-NI at 12:20, and Newman competes against Lafayette Christian at 10:40 on Friday. The semifinals for this division will see John Curtis play at 10:00 on Friday, with finals scheduled for 11:30 on Saturday.

In Division V, Country Day has secured its place in the semifinals after defeating Riverside 3-0. Ascension Catholic also advanced, winning against McGehee 3-2. Central Catholic is set to take on Episcopal of Acadiana at 15:40, while Westminster Christian triumphed over Northside Christian 3-0. Semifinal matches will feature Country Day against Ascension Catholic at 10:00 on Friday, with finals at 09:00 on Saturday.

As the tournament progresses, teams will look to demonstrate their skills and determination in pursuit of the championship titles. Fans can expect an exhilarating weekend filled with competitive spirit and athletic prowess at the Cajundome.
