Community Mourns the Loss of James Michael “Little Jimmy” Smith
James Michael “Little Jimmy” Smith, a respected member of the Fairchance community, passed away in his home on November 13, 2025. He was born on December 16, 1977, to Michael and Georgia Jean Smith. Smith was well-known for his role as a Produce Manager at the Fairchance Shop-n-Save, where he dedicated many years of service.
His unexpected passing has left a profound impact on family and friends. Smith is survived by his loving family, but he was preceded in death by his father, Michael Smith, his mother, Georgia Jean Smith, and his younger brother, also named Michael Smith. The community remembers him not only for his professional work but also for his kindness and commitment to those around him.
A memorial visitation will be held on November 26, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME in Fairchance. Friends, family, and community members are encouraged to attend and pay their respects to a man who has touched many lives.
The outpouring of grief reflects the strong connections Smith made throughout his life. Colleagues and customers alike have expressed their condolences, highlighting the warmth he brought to his work at the grocery store. Smith’s legacy will undoubtedly live on in the stories shared by those who knew him best.
