Bad Bunny to Make History at Super Bowl with Special Guests
Bad Bunny is set to make history by headlining the Super Bowl halftime show on February 11, 2024, marking the first time the event will feature a performance entirely in Spanish. Following his recent Grammy win for Album of the Year, the Latin music sensation promises an electrifying celebration that will showcase his beloved Puerto Rico. With a vibrant preview trailer stating that “the world will dance,” anticipation is high for what he has planned.
The excitement surrounding Bad Bunny’s performance raises the question: who might join him on stage? During his “No Me Quiero Ir De Aqui” residency in Puerto Rico last year, he welcomed numerous collaborators and friends each night. Given this trend, it’s expected he will invite some of these stars, along with other big names, to join him during the Super Bowl.
Among the potential guests is Cardi B, who featured Bad Bunny on her hit song “I Like It” in 2018. She will be attending the Super Bowl to support her boyfriend, Stefan Diggs, who plays for the Buffalo Bills, making her appearance a strong possibility. Another likely collaborator is Drake, with whom Bad Bunny created the iconic track “Mia.” Their reunion on the Super Bowl stage could create a memorable moment, especially as both artists continue to dominate streaming platforms.
Additionally, Post Malone may make an appearance. He joined Bad Bunny during his Coachella performance in 2023, which was cut short due to technical issues. With Malone performing in the Bay Area that same weekend, fans hope he will join Bad Bunny for a full performance.
Another likely guest is Marc Anthony, who performed with Bad Bunny during his residency in Puerto Rico. Their rendition of the classic “Preciosa” could resonate strongly with the audience, showcasing the rich musical heritage of Puerto Rico.
The possibility of Jennifer Lopez returning to the Super Bowl stage also looms large. Bad Bunny previously joined her and Shakira during their halftime show in 2020. Although Lopez indicated she had not been contacted about performing, she expressed willingness to participate if asked.
Further adding to the speculation, Young Miko is scheduled to be in town for another event over Super Bowl weekend, making her a potential surprise guest. Romeo Santos, who recently collaborated with Bad Bunny during his world tour, could also bring a bachata flair to the performance.
While many fans would love to see a reunion with Daddy Yankee, he has publicly stated he is focused on other projects and will not join Bad Bunny for this performance. Nonetheless, there are numerous other artists who could make an appearance, including Ricky Martin, Becky G, and Residente, all of whom have shared stages with Bad Bunny in the past.
Although the roster of guest performers remains unconfirmed, there is also the possibility that Bad Bunny may choose to highlight Puerto Rican culture directly, featuring traditional dancers or musicians. This could create a vibrant representation of his home island, making the performance not just a musical showcase but also a cultural celebration.
As the Super Bowl approaches, Bad Bunny’s halftime show promises to be a historic and unforgettable moment for fans around the world, combining entertainment with a heartfelt tribute to his roots. The anticipation builds as everyone awaits this landmark performance on one of the biggest stages in the world.
