The City of Tombstone, Arizona is actively seeking volunteers to assist with the upcoming ‘Road To 250’ museum, which will take place on March 13 and 14. This traveling museum will feature interactive exhibits that highlight American and Arizona history, including a replica of the Liberty Bell. Tombstone is among several cities in Cochise County and Southern Arizona chosen to host this significant event.

City Clerk Charissa Presti has emphasized the importance of community involvement for the event. The city anticipates a large turnout, with estimates suggesting that thousands of visitors are expected daily. “The reason why we’re asking for volunteers is because we want to make sure that the visitors have the best experience here,” Presti explained. “We have found out through other municipalities who have hosted the museum that there has been thousands that come through daily, and so we need as many volunteers as we can to help the exhibit run smoothly.”

Presti further noted that hosting the traveling museum aligns perfectly with Tombstone’s rich historical background. “We are rich in history in itself, and not only do we celebrate America’s history and America’s birthday, but Tombstone has a vital role in that,” she stated. “In regards to the Old West history, we’re trying to keep the Old West alive. And what better way to mesh the two together?”
