Celebrities Spend Thanksgiving Behind Bars: Menus Revealed
Several high-profile inmates, including Sean “Diddy” Combs, Josh Duggar, Fetty Wap (real name Willie Maxwell II), and Jared Fogle, will be spending Thanksgiving behind bars this year. Each of these celebrities is serving sentences for serious crimes, and reports detail what they can expect for their holiday meals.
Diddy’s Thanksgiving Meal at Fort Dix
Diddy, currently incarcerated at Fort Dix in New Jersey, is serving a 50-month sentence for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. On Thanksgiving, which falls on November 27, 2024, he will receive a turkey roast with gravy, along with options for soy chicken and vegetables. The meal will be accompanied by cornbread, baked sweet potatoes, and corn, with a dessert to conclude the feast. Diddy’s lighter dinner will consist of either a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or a deli sandwich paired with potato chips and fruit. His projected release date is June 4, 2028.
Thanksgiving for Josh Duggar at FCI Seagoville
At FCI Seagoville in Texas, Josh Duggar will also partake in a Thanksgiving meal, which includes roast turkey with gravy or honey glazed ham. For those preferring vegetarian options, the facility offers vegetable lasagna or vegetable-stuffed peppers. His meal will feature cornbread, broccoli and cheese casserole, green bean casserole, candied sweet potatoes, and dinner rolls, culminating with a slice of pecan pie. Duggar, sentenced to more than 12 years for receiving and possessing child pornography, is expected to be released on December 23, 2032. Additionally, the recreation department at his prison has organized a weekend full of activities, including games like pass/punt/kick and ping-pong.
Fetty Wap’s Traditional Thanksgiving Feast
Similarly, Fetty Wap will enjoy roasted turkey at FCI Sandstone in Minnesota, where he is serving a six-year sentence for drug trafficking. Alongside his turkey, he will receive traditional sides such as mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potatoes, stuffing, corn, salad, cranberry, and dinner rolls. A pumpkin pie will be included for dessert. The facility has also planned church services and recreational activities over the holiday weekend, highlighting the communal aspect of the occasion.
Jared Fogle’s Menu at FCI Englewood
Finally, Jared Fogle, the former Subway spokesperson, will be served roast turkey or honey ham at FCI Englewood in Colorado. His meal will include mashed potatoes with gravy, cornbread, green bean casserole, a garden salad, and dinner rolls, with a choice of pumpkin or cherry pie for dessert. Fogle is serving a sentence of over 15 years for child pornography charges, with a release date set for March 24, 2029. The prison has arranged various indoor and outdoor recreational activities for the inmates during the Thanksgiving weekend.
In conclusion, while these celebrities may be separated from their families, the meals and activities provided in the prison system offer a semblance of normalcy during the holiday season.
