Unlike in vitro fertilization (IVF), which is often the first recommendation, RRM focuses on identifying and treating underlying health issues that contribute to infertility.

The journey of Karen and Anthony Monetti exemplifies the potential of this alternative. After nine years of marriage, the couple felt a spiritual calling to start a family. “Put it in God’s hands,” Anthony told CBN News, a sentiment echoed by Karen. “And we got pregnant pretty fast,” she added.

Overcoming Heartbreak

Despite their initial optimism, the Monettis faced profound heartbreak. Karen endured four miscarriages, leading her to reflect on the emotional toll of infertility. “Nothing has hurt, and I’ve never grieved so much as the infertility journey,” she shared. Yet, her message remains one of hope.

They were uncomfortable with the idea of multiple embryos being conceived but not carried to term. “I could not bring myself to that, knowing that there was life there that was not inside of me,” Karen stated.

According to Dr. Golden-Tevald, a leading practitioner in the field, RRM has consistently shown success. “In 20 years of doing this, I have never had a woman evaluated where we couldn’t find anything wrong. In Karen and Anthony’s case, issues included serious blood clots and hormonal imbalances. Following a regimen of blood thinners and hormones, Karen became pregnant, leading to the birth of their daughter. “My pregnancy was a huge success,” she said. “We finally have our baby, our miracle.”

Karen pointed out that it is often overshadowed by the IVF narrative. “I don’t think many people know it exists,” she said. “I think it’s just, ‘Go to IVF, go to IVF.'” Dr. Fleming echoed this sentiment, suggesting that a lack of financial incentive for practitioners contributes to RRM’s limited visibility.

As legislation like the RESTORE Act is set to be reconsidered by lawmakers, advocates for RRM continue to rely on personal recommendations. “I recommend everybody I know who struggles with fertility,” Karen stated, highlighting her belief in the effectiveness of RRM and the practitioners who helped her family.
