SpaceX Set for Falcon 9 Launch of 28 Starlink Satellites

SpaceX is preparing to launch its Falcon 9 rocket carrying 28 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit. This mission is scheduled for Saturday night, March 16, 2024, from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The launch window will be open from 21:04 to 01:04 ET, allowing for a brief period to execute the mission.

This launch marks the 33rd flight for the first stage booster that will support the mission. The booster has an impressive history, having previously launched significant missions including CRS-22, Crew-3, and 20 other Starlink missions. Following the launch, the first stage booster will separate and land on the droneship named A Shortfall of Gravitas, which will be positioned in the Atlantic Ocean.
